Match is a structured comparison of the job description and the reviewed resume. It is an aid to the user’s decision—not a hiring prediction, applicant-tracking-system score or instruction to apply.
01
Requirements come from the posting
APWICO reviews bounded job-description text for explicit qualification language and section context. It keeps the source wording visible, groups signals as required, preferred or nice to have, and limits the result rather than pretending every sentence is a requirement.
02
Direct evidence stays traceable
Clearly demonstrated means wording in the reviewed resume directly supports the requirement. The product shows the connected resume wording so the user can check whether the connection is meaningful.
03
Worth reviewing is not a pass
Partially demonstrated means related resume wording was found but the connection may be adjacent, incomplete or buried. It is deliberately presented for review, not upgraded into direct evidence automatically.
04
Not demonstrated remains unknown
Not demonstrated means the reviewed resume did not show supporting evidence. It does not mean the person lacks the skill, credential or experience, and it does not become a rejection recommendation.
05
Confirmed incompatibility requires the user
A required item becomes a confirmed incompatibility only when the user explicitly says they do not have it. Preferred or nice-to-have items remain non-demonstrated rather than becoming disqualifiers.
06
Clarifications change the evidence view
The user can confirm that they can demonstrate an unresolved requirement, state that they do not have it or remain unsure. Saved Match Analysis is recalculated with that explicit clarification and keeps the decision with the user.
07
Match and AI are separate
The current Match classification is deterministic and does not use a generative-AI model. AI is used only for separately requested tailoring suggestions; those suggestions must stay grounded in supplied resume content and are never applied without review.
Important boundaries
What this capability does not promise
Extraction can miss, split or misclassify ambiguous job wording; the source text remains visible so the user can correct their interpretation.
Wording overlap is not proof of competence, recency, proficiency or employer acceptance. Human context still matters.
The public browser-only evidence check uses a smaller review scope than the saved full analysis and cannot see experience omitted from the pasted resume.
Strong, Good and Stretch summaries organize attention; they are not probabilities, universal qualification thresholds or apply/don’t-apply verdicts.
Job descriptions may be incomplete, unlawful, outdated or inaccurate. APWICO does not verify the employer or replace professional, legal or immigration advice.
